Alat Announces $100B Smart Electronics Manufacturing Hub

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Alat, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, has officially announced its grand strategy to establish a massive $100 billion smart electronics manufacturing hub in Riyadh. Partnering with global technology giants, the company aims to build advanced semiconductor cleanrooms, automated logistics hubs, and industrial robotics assembly plants, transforming the Kingdom into a primary global exporter of smart devices and electronic components.

Re-Engineering the Global Tech Supply Chain

This ambitious capital injection seeks to bridge critical vulnerabilities in the global electronics supply chain by establishing a highly resilient, green-powered manufacturing corridor in Saudi Arabia:

  • Semiconductor Cleanrooms: In partnership with leading international microchip developers, Alat is constructing state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities in Riyadh to handle advanced packaging, testing, and substrate fabrication.
  • Smart Devices & Infrastructure: The hub will contain dedicated assembly lines for next-generation smart appliances, AI server racks, and telecommunications hardware.
  • 100% Clean Energy Powered: The entire industrial park will operate utilizing sustainable solar and wind energy sourced from the Kingdom's vast renewable energy grid, aligning with Net Zero targets.
  • Employment & Knowledge Transfer: The project is projected to create over 39,000 highly skilled engineering and technical jobs by 2030, supported by localized training academies.

Strategic Partnership Framework

Alat has already signed landmark joint-venture agreements with several key global players—including Dahua Technology, SoftBank Group, and Carrier Corporation—to co-develop smart cities infrastructure, industrial robots, and energy-efficient climate control systems. These partnerships ensure that the manufacturing processes leverage advanced automation, AI diagnostics, and robotics.

What This Means for Industrial Investors

For international companies in advanced manufacturing, precision tooling, component supply, and industrial logistics, the Alat initiative represents an unprecedented anchor client. The establishment of this hub provides immediate access to subsidized energy, zero-customs import zones, and fast-track MISA Industrial Licensing, facilitating a rapid setup and integration pathway.
